Believe it or not, the commercial door you have in your storefront says a lot about the kind of business you have. This is why a lot of people opt for friendly stickers and fun posters to hang on their doors to let you know that they are a fun and welcoming business. But it is not just the decorations that you put on the door that gives away your type of business, it’s also the shape that the door is in. No one is going to want to visit a store that has a broken storefront door. They don’t fully know whether or not it’s a closed business or if they’ve just had some bad luck with the weather. This is why choosing the right storefront door is important and in this story, I’m going to help you choose the right one.
When choosing a storefront commercial door, there are a few things that you need to consider aside from the appearance of the door, you also need to consider security and cost. You want to make sure that you get a door that is going to be strong enough to keep out anyone who tries to get in at night. But you don’t want to spend all of your business savings on a door, there are cheaper options that you can choose from that are just as good as the expensive ones.
Let’s go over the types of doors, there are three different types of storefront doors and each come with a different quality than the other:
Glass: This one will give your customers a look into the business, letting some light in and showing the world what you have to offer. These doors can also be used to make your business look bigger so if you have a smaller building, these doors open up the space to make it look larger than it is. Glass might not seem like a good option when it comes to security, but you would be surprised. Glass doors are very tough and are capable of keeping people out if they aren’t supposed to go in. If you need a storefront door, this is the one you should go with.
Steel: This option is best for the back of your building. You aren’t trying to impress anyone, you’re trying to keep them out. No one should be going into the back of your business and they shouldn’t be able to see the inside of whatever room is back there. Steel doors are strong so no one can get in unless they have access to a key because there is no breaking down this door.
Aluminum: This is the cheapest option. It’s just a solid door that you can put on your building. You can paint it to match whatever aesthetic you have on the outside and the inside of your business, it’s strong enough to keep people out, and it’s cheap because it’s a basic door. If you aren’t looking for anything fancy, this is the door you can go with and you won’t break the bank.
If you have a storefront door already but it is broken or damaged, there is no need to replace it completely. If you like the door you currently have, you can instead get someone to do a commercial door repair and you will save more money and get to keep the door that you already have installed on your store.
